Hey I'm back, just a few days later! Non knitting post ahead.
Some of you are aware that I've recently lost 50 pounds, and am now the smallest I've EVER been. I've blogged about it a bit over here. I've had to acquire a completely new wardrobe, since I'm now about 5 sizes smaller than I was 50 pounds ago. I've always loved clothes and shopping, so this has been a lot of fun for me.
Yesterday I did a major clothing power shop with a girlfriend. She called first thing in the morning to say that she woke up grouchy, and that it would help her to go shopping to our favourite clothing store at lunch time. Of course she didn’t plan to buy anything (she doesn’t want to shop til she looses some weight) but I did need to get a few things. Being the good friend I am, I agreed with the plan. I got rather carried away and now feel guilty, but got some nice things. We know the owner of the store and she gave me 25% off, which was really nice. I guess I helped the local economy too, LOL! Still can’t believe the size I’m buying, feels rather surreal.
Here's the damage:
To the best of my recollection, there are 8 shirts, 1 pair of capries, 2 pairs of shorts, 1 skirt, a jean jacket, a hoody, a zip up jacket/sweater, and a cute little short sleeved button up sweater.
Phew, I have a bit of a shopping guilt hangover this morning!
Congrats on the clothes shopping....don't feel guilty!!

It looks like you had a very fun and successful day! It's not always easy finding clothes. So finding so many in one day is awesome. And, they look like they all go together so you'll be able to do lots of mixing and matching. Fun! Congrats on the weight loss. That's not an easy thing to do either. :-)

Throw away the guilt, Brenda. This is no dress rehearsal - it is the one chance at life! Also, get a big bag, go through the wardrobe and make Sally Ann happy! I am so pleased for you and congratulations! Remember - toss the guilt! Peg

Way to go Brenda! I have to admit I can tend to also have the Buyers remorse... but I don't think you need to have it at all... heavens forbid you wear clothes that are 5 sizes to big for you! That would just be wrong. Also it appears that what you have purchased will mix and match quite well :)I'm all for bagging up the old wardrobe and dropping it all off at the Women's Center, they are always very happy to see someone coming with a bag of goodies for them:D

Thanks everyone for all your comments, and permission to not feel guilty about my shopping spree. And yes, I've donated lots of things to charity already, and have more still to donate. That makes me feel good too! :)

Do you find it hard to knit/crochet items for your new size. It was funny for me to knot something in size small.
