Knitting with handspun is always so satisfying. Combine that with a simple yet enticing pattern, and that means I really don't want to go to work today, sure wish I could stay home and knit. Here's the start of my Lacy Baktus (Ravelry link):
Since taking these pictures I've knit a fair amount on this scarf. I've weighed the remaining skein on my handy kitchen scale, and I'm about 25% through. I'm hoping to crank this out fairly quickly, I think this cheery lime colour around my neck will help the January doldrums.
Maybe I should try a lacy baktus, yours is just lovely! Can't wait to see it when it's done.

It looks great. It is a very enjoyable pattern. I might make just a plain Baktus with some other handspun as well.

I love the lacey baktus, I've knit three. They are fun especially with hand dyed yarn.

I've knit three lacy backtus. They also work well as a scarf over a top to fill in the neck area - which is not always our best feature. At least it is not my best feature. Thanks for the info on Kate. I have written to her and now I know the source of the pattern. Wish some of these folks would accept credit cards, as I have had lots of problems with Pay Pal and cancelled it. Oh well, I will get it sooner or later!
