Remember the socks I showed you a few weeks ago that I was knitting for my Dad? Well if the truth be known, I hated them. I ripped what I showed you in that post, and cast on with a smaller needle. Still hated them. Truthfully, I hated knitting with the Zauberball yarn (Ravelry link). Hated it!!!!! (Have I used the word "hate" enough yet?) I trolled around Ravelry a bit, and it seems that the majority of knitters are using this yarn for small shawls, very few socks being knit with it. So I frogged a second time, and annoyingly put the yarn, the yarn that I hated, back in my stash. I found some other male appropriate yarn in the depths of my stash, some Opal Prisma (Ravelry link) won in a contest a few years back from a now defunct company. I'm much happier now and am well on the way to finishing another Christmas gift. Phew.
What was it about the zauberball that you hated so much? I love the look of it, but don't want to hate a yarn!

It actually reminded me a lot of noro yarn. Seemed to be a single ply, not a lot of drapeor hand to it. Just kind of sat there once it was knit, not sqooshy or anything. And doesnt stand up well to frogging either!
