Once again, long time no post. I haven't been knitting anything exciting lately, my life has been rather boring, I'm not witty like Yarn Harlot, and I don't live in an exotic foreign land or have the ability to write interesting political commentary like Brainy Lady. I do however feel a sense of accomplishment this weekend from my participation in the BC Cancer Society's Relay for Life. I was part of a team of women from my workplace (photo at left). It was a 12 hour relay, and someone from the team had to be on the track at all times. We were divided into several small groups, and we each took half hour shifts throughout the night. What I didn't know was the havoc that a dirt track could create on one's hair. It quickly became hard from the dust, and we all dreamed of washing it as soon as we got home! I only slept about 30 minutes max during the night, so once the hair washing was out of the way, proceeded immediately to bed. I did get up and knit for a few hours in the afternoon, then back to bed early where I slept for another 12 hours. I feel back to normal (as normal as I get) today! Still have more laundry to do, groceries to buy, and hopefully knitting to do. Can't decide if I should cast on for the second sleeve for Strawberry Ice Cream, or a sleeve or front for Le Pull (which I'm really quite bored with). Hopefully, I'll be updating more frequently here. I leave you with this:
B | Bright |
R | Responsible |
E | Elitist |
N | Neat |
D | Dirty |
A | Ambitious |

Interesting.... how I can be neat and dirty at the same time, I don't know. Probably not too accurate. I am responsible, but wouldn't consider myself elitist or ambitious. I'm somewhat neat, and I guess dirty could refer to my hair during the relay!
Congratulations on staying the full 12-hours of Relay for Life rally, it sounds like you had fun.
As for the Blog content or how often you post; I read your Blog because of how your personality shines through, and as for living in an exotic place, what seems ordinary to you on the West coast can seem unusual to me down here on the East coast.
It would be very boring if we all wrote in the same style, this is what makes Blogs so interesting learning about other people, where they live, what they do, how they think, what they eat, what they read etc.

No apologies for being you, Brenda. Besides, you're a dirty neat girl. Wow. Hey, maybe we need yet another new webring....Dirty Neat Girls.

Well, I've never taken part in a 12-hour relay like Brenda! ;) Good for you!

It's a matter of perspective.
I'm not terribly witty, and Charleston, South Carolina isn't exotic to me although there's probably someone out there who thinks I'm the the soul of wit and that Charleston is strange and wonderful.
I enjoy reading your blog, and I've been to BC--would love to go back there again.
Congrats on doing the Relay. I did one some years ago. I had a lot of fun, and I very tired by the end.

I'm with Brainylady, I've never run a 12 hour relay either, though now that you've done it..I might need to!
