Sister's Birthday

Today is my sister's birthday, and of course I made her a card.  And I actually didn't use a Bella stamp for her card, she's just not a Bella kind of girl.  Here's what I ended up with:
Bdaycardnancy1
Simple as this card looks, it took me a better part of a day to come up with it.  I don't know how many times I went through my papers, ribbons, and stamps, just having a creative block that day.  Of course I was also doing laundry and packing for last week's trip to Vancouver at the same time, perhaps that had something to do with it.

Anyone reading here?  I'm kind of thinking of ditching this blog and posting my papercraft stuff over at my main blog, Close to my Heart.  I think I may even start by cross posting this card.  What do you think?  I'm starting to feel that it is kind of silly to maintain the two blogs.

Bella Birthday

I broke out my previously unused BillboardaBella to make a birthday card for my niece:

Coloured in with my pencil crayons and soufle pens.  Added the little hearts to cover the holes punched to thread the ribbon through, those holes were really bugging me!

Christmas in July Class

The other night I attended a Christmas Stamp Stack class hosted by my Stamping Up demo. At the end of the evening, I had a stack of 12 cards made. She's doing a birthday stack class at the end of this month, which I'm thinking I should attend as well, seems like I always need to have birthday cards on hand (in fact need to go make a couple now).

July Card Class

I attended this class at the beginning of the month, and kind of forgot about posting here.  In this class, we made five different cards, all with an elegant them that would be suitable for such occasions as weddings.  Here are the cards:

This first card is actually my least favourite of all the cards, mostly because I kind of screwed up the rub on.  It's nicer than it looks in the picture though, you can't really see the little paper flowers very well.

Here's the rest:

The last two are my favourites:

Bellas Again!

Really, one of these days I should make some cards that include something other than Bella images, but I just love them so much, what's a girl to do?  Yesterday I had fun creating a couple birthday cards for some friends at work.

This one may not have a Bella on it, but still a Stamping Bella Image:

The recipient of this card loves plants and gardening, so I thought this image to be suitable.  The next card is one of my favourites I've made yet, if I do say so myself!
Martini_birthday1
This card is for someone who loves bright cheery colours and also loves her vacation happy hour. And since her birthday is at the very beginning of her month off, I just had to use the Martini Bella.

After not doing much papercrafting since returning from the Victoria Fibre Festival last month and becoming completely obsessed with all things fibre, I'm now interested in the paper fibre end of things again. I even did a scrapbook page yesterday.  Tonight though, I will play with the other kind of fibre. I haven't spun all weekend, and I don't think I've knit either (how bad is it that I don't even remember?)!
