Well, Joe came home shortly after my last post, due to technical problems. I'd rather him come home sooner rather than later though, as I'm such a worrier. When we first met, Joe was an avid hunter, however his interest has waned over the years. He's somewhat more interested in it this year, and it's good for him to get out there. My Dad is a fisherman, not a hunter, so this hunting thing is completely foreign to me and I do worry. Anyway, back to the regularly scheduled sock knitting update. Just under the wire, I finished my Socktoberfest sock this afternoon. Here's the best photo I could get on a dark dreary afternoon:
Yarn: Online Caribbean 733 (great yarn, by the way)
Construction: Top down, band heel, round toe.
Started: October 11
Finished: October 30
Thanks Lolly for a fun Knit-a-long. It's been great seeing all of the finished socks showing up all over blogland the last few days.
I'm thrilled to say that I'm on vacation this week! Not sure how much knitting I'll get done as my carpal tunnel has been acting up, and I really should take it easy. I've lapsed in my regular reading, and really hope to get into some good books. Tuesday I'm getting a haircut in the afternoon and then going for a makeover with a girlfriend in the evening, and Friday we're off to Nanaimo to visit my parents and do some shopping. And of course I skate Monday night and Thursday night. And I also hope to get in some Curves workouts. But there's still lots of time for some R & R.

Great socks!
