Well, the old 1999 computer has now officially bit the dust. We have ordered a brand new model, with all the bells and whistles, which will hopefully arrive sometime in the next few working days. In the meantime, we have no net access. I am so addicted to the computer that I am experiencing severe withdrawal! Oh well, a good time to get lots of knitting accomplished ( I hope to make great progress on Rosedale) and spend some time looking through the knitting books that Santa brought. I'm writing this from my sister-in-law's house, I came over as I have an almost overdue bill that needs to be paid.
Thanks to those of you who responded to my now deleted post about the crappy Christmas. Your support means a lot. I'm happy to say that things have improved greatly and we will be okay.
All going well, I should be back online by New Year's. In the meantime, here at long last is my completed ribby cardie. The sun came out on Christmas day, and I was finally able to get a picture:

Hello Brenda. I'm a brand-new Typepad user, just went online with my knitting blog yesterday. I stumbled upon your picture album while doing a search for something, and saw that you were also a Typepad blogger. I wanted you to know I've been enjoying your site. Ribby looks great! Hope you are OK. I haven't been online over Christmas due to visitors so I don't know what happened to make you so sad. Whatever it was, thankfully you sound better about it.
